To install Break and Retest, copy the .ex4 file to your MetaTrader 4 Indicators folder (usually located at Program Files/MetaTrader 4/MQL4/Indicators). Restart MT4, then attach the indicator to your preferred chart. The indicator works on any timeframe and automatically takes necessary data from multiple timeframes. Check the top left of your chart to see "Health: Working Ok..." and "Status: Scanning for a Break & Retest entry..." to confirm it's working properly.
The break and retest strategy waits for price to break through a support or resistance level, then retests that level. The indicator looks for wick rejections indicating traders are actively defending the retest level. After successful wick rejections, it waits for candle continuation to generate buy & sell signals. The indicator only places quality trades when the market is really in your favor with a clear break and retest, ensuring higher probability setups.
Recommended settings include: Adjust the "Support & Resistance Sensitivity" parameter to control signal frequency (increase for more signals, decrease for higher quality), use the indicator on your preferred timeframe (it works on any timeframe), enable alerts for notifications, and ensure the indicator shows "Health: Working Ok..." status.
