Who we are
Pro Forex Tools (proforextools.com) sells MetaTrader Expert Advisors and indicators as digital downloads. For any privacy question or request, message @profxtools_support on Telegram or use the contact form.
What we collect
- Purchases. Card payments are handled by Stripe on their checkout page. We never see or store your card details. Stripe sends us your email address, what you bought, the amount and the payment status.
- Downloads. When you use a download link we record the tool, the time, your IP address and your browser's user agent. This stops link sharing and helps us sort out download problems.
- Free downloads. If you type your email before a free download, we store it so you can recover the link later. It is optional.
- Contact form. Your name, email and message, so we can reply. Messages sent on Telegram are handled by Telegram under their own policy.
- How the site is used. Pages viewed, clicks on tools and buttons, searches and checkout steps. These events carry a random visitor ID stored in your browser, your country and device type (from your connection and browser), but not your IP address or name.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages and tools are useful. It sets cookies and Google processes the data under its own privacy policy. You can block it with your browser's privacy settings or Google's opt-out add-on; the store keeps working either way.
We also keep a few items in your browser's local storage: the random visitor ID above, your light or dark theme, and the tools you picked for a bundle.
Why we use it
- To deliver what you paid for, re-issue lost links and handle refunds (needed to fulfil your order).
- To keep payment and tax records (a legal obligation).
- To stop abuse of download links and improve the store (our legitimate interest in running it).
We do not sell your data and we do not send marketing emails.
Who processes it
- Stripe for payments.
- Netlify for hosting the site and the contact form.
- Neon for our order and download database.
- Google for analytics and for storing the download files (Google Drive).
Some of these providers store data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards.
How long we keep it
Order and download records are kept while you may still need to recover a download or ask for a refund, and as long as payment records must be kept by law. Site usage events are kept for up to 12 months. Contact messages are deleted once they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deleting your order records means we can no longer re-issue your download links. Send the request from the email you bought with, via the contact form, and we will reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date.
