How do I install Happy Gold MT5?
The zip has two MetaTrader 5 files — both are required. (1) Copy Happy Gold MT5 (Scalp)_fix.ex5 into MQL5 → Experts. (2) Copy ZigZag.ex5 into MQL5 → Indicators (root Indicators folder is fine). (3) Restart MT5 or refresh Navigator. (4) Attach the EA to your XAUUSD chart (M15 recommended) and enable AutoTrading. You do not need to drag ZigZag onto the chart yourself — the EA loads it internally, but the file must be installed.
Why do I need ZigZag.ex5?
Happy Gold calls a custom ZigZag indicator. If ZigZag.ex5 is missing, Strategy Tester and live charts show cannot load custom indicator 'ZigZag' and the EA will not trade correctly. Keep both files from the download zip.
How should I test before live?
Always forward-test on a demo account with your broker’s gold symbol, spread, and commission. Confirm ZigZag is installed first. Gold scalping EAs are sensitive to execution quality and VPS latency.
